Goondawindi - 'Leo' - April, 2008
Hi Nola, Leo and Cheeta (black silver
kitten) have settled in really well and we're having lots of fun with them...
They are either in cuddle mode or play mode and keep each other entertained.
Here are some photos...

August 1, 2008
Hi Nola, Just thought I'd update you on Leo {Ozspots
Goondawindi) and Cheeta (Cheeky) (Ozspots
Jardine) and send some more pics... they are certainly growing up fast! We love them to
bits and they are such a joy to have around. Now that I'm working from home,
they keep me company during the day (and a bit distracted!). They like to
jump on the keyboard where its warm and also sleep on my pillow during
the night, but we're trying to break that habit!
Cheeta is the more active, curious one and likes to get into
everything (hence her nickname Cheeky). Leo is just a big, cuddly boy and
talks a lot. Regards, Vanessa (Singapore)

Geraldton - 'Bartlet' - August, 2008
Dear Nola,
I've been meaning to drop you a line for a while to let you know how
everything is going with little Geraldton (or Bartlet, as we have named him).
I apologise for not being in touch sooner!
First of all, let me just say that Belinda and I could not be happier and more
besotted with Bartlet. He has quickly become the centre of the household; a
very cheeky, curious young man. I now completely understand your comments
about kittens being like children. When he does something naughty that he
knows is not allowed, he gets the same look in his eye a 4 year old would!
After the first day, when I called you about the crying, he quickly settled
down, and is now very strongly bonded to the two of us. I still can't get over
how people-centric a cat he is. I've never known another cat who essentially
NEVER chooses to be by himself. Even if he wants to nap, he makes sure he is
doing so in the same room as one of us, and when either of us gets home from
work, he is waiting at the door to greet us and shower us with kisses (nipping
our chins). When new people come over, he takes his role as official greeter
and lap inspector very seriously, and field trips to relative's houses are
always eagerly anticipated (I've never seen a cat actively want to go in the
cat carrier before). We've also noticed that he is fascinated by enclosed
spaces, especially cloth shopping bags (naturally, we keep him away from any
plastic ones). Whenever he has the opportunity, he darts into them and calls
for us to pick him up and cart him around the flat (his version of air
travel!).
These are just a handful of the wonderful behaviours that he has exhibited so
far. It seems like every day he does something new that just melts our hearts.
On behalf of Belinda and myself, thank you so much for helping us to bring
this bundle of furry love into our home.
Kind regards,
Hamish
PS I've attached a couple of photos from Bartlet's earlier days (they're about
3 months old), pending us getting new ones downloaded. The older he gets, the
more he looks like Kiwi Fruit! (and he is just as much of a sook)
PPS One quick question: his favourite position when being held by us is to be
cradled upside down like a baby. Every other cat I've ever had has preferred
to held over the shoulder. Is that preference something that is common in Ocicats?

Murray - 'Merlin' - September, 2008 and
Ozspots
Diamantina - 'Koko' - September, 2008
Hi Nola,
Merlin and Kok are now over 1 year old (birthdate
in July 2007) and going really well. They are an important part of the
family and I don't know how we got along without them before as they are great
company and we love them so much. We are still keeping them as indoor
cats at this stage and they are currently going through training on the
'Litter Kwitter'. Just wanted to drop you a very quick line to let you k
now that we are very happy with them and they are healthy and
happy.
Regards, Sara H.
