What is OANZ?
We are a group of dedicated breeders of the fabulous Ocicat who are located in Australia and across the Tasman in New Zealand.
We are bonded by the love of the Ocicat breed.
We share the desire to improve and promote the Ocicat through open communications, sharing information, experiences, and knowledge.
We are also dedicated to encouraging, supporting and mentoring new Ocicat breeders.
In joining together in this group, we will also develop new friendships and strengthen existing friendships between our Foundation Members and new Associate Members.
Our Goals
In forming our group in June, 2006, we focussed on four main goals :
 | Communications -
 | to provide improved communication between Australian & New Zealand Ocicat breeders |
| to provide a forum for such communication |
| to promote greater Australian & New Zealand co-operation and networking amongst our members |
| enhance knowledge of the Ocicat gene pool available to breeders in Australia and New Zealand |

| Promotion of Ocicats -
| to promote Ocicats as a breed in Australia and New Zealand |
| to promote our Group's Ocicats internationally |
| to gain recognition overseas for the high standard of our Group's Ocicats |

| Breeding of Ocicats -
| to breed Ocicats selectively to ensure good quality kittens and cats |
| to encourage new breeders of Ocicats in Australia & New Zealand |
| to assist, advise and support new breeders on all matters pertaining to Ocicats with advice and information
as required |
| to widen the available gene pool of Ocicats in Australia & New Zealand |

| Care, Protection & Welfare of Ocicats -
| to encourage an active interest in the care, protection and welfare of Ocicats |

Who can join our group?
Membership is open to interested registered Ocicat breeders in Australia and New
Zealand as well as Ocicat fans, owners, admirers, devotees from anywhere.
Benefits of joining our group
Members will -

| be able to list their Ocicat studs and queens on our breeding database page |
| check out pedigrees of other members' breeding cats |
| do test matings using links to the PawPeds Ocicat Database |
| be able to list Ocicat kittens they have available from time to time, with links to their own emails, telephones and/or
websites |
| have the option to participate in national advertising programs from time to time as they choose |
| benefit from the increased and improved communications between member breeders |
| benefit from assistance and support from more experienced breeders if required |
| be able to communicate via a chat forum which will be established shortly |
Cost to join the group
Membership costs for the year July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008 (pro-rata) are -
