Kitten Sold Derivation of Kitten Name

OZSPOTS DEVONPORT -

Chocolate spotted male

Sold - Melissa T, Sydney, NSW Devonport is a city in the NW of Tasmania, Australia at the mouth of the Mersey River.  The area was first surveyed in 1823 and was originally known as 'Port Frederick', then 'Mersey River', the name of the river flowing through the town. Later it became two separate towns - 'Formby' on the western side, and 'Torquay' on the east. The towns joined to become Devonport (named after Devonport in England) in 1890.  Devonport was declared a city in 1981 by Prince Charles.

OZSPOTS NOOSA -

Chocolate spotted female

Sold - Shelley G, Ingham, Q'land The Shire of Noosa is located about 130 kilometres (81 miles) north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast region of SE Queensland, Australia.  It is a cluster of suburbs, none of which are actually called 'Noosa'.  Although reports of the area can be traced back to Captain Cook's voyages in May 1770, European settlement in the region did not proceed for almost a century. This early settlement was primarily driven firstly by timber logging and then secondly a gold rush north of Noosa. Noosa is now a major tourist destination.

OZSPOTS KIMBERLEY -

Cinnamon spotted female

Sold - Rochelle H The Kimberley is located in the northern part of Western Australia, bordered on the west by the Indian Ocean, on the north by the Timor Sea, on the south by the Great Sandy and Tanami Deserts, and on the east by the Northern Territory.  It covers an area of 423,517 square kilometres (163,521 sq mi), which is about three times the size of England or comparable to the size of California or 15% larger than Japan.  It has a population of 38,000 est.  The Kimberley was one of the earliest settled parts of Australia, with the first arrivals landing about 40,000 years ago from the islands of what is now Indonesia.  Alexander Forrest trekked across from the western coast to the Northern Territory in 1879. Forrest was the first European man to discover and name the Kimberley district.

OZSPOTS CANTERBURY -

Lilac spotted male -

Retained by oz Catz

Canterbury is a suburb in SW Sydney, NSW, Australia.  Indigenous Australians lived in this area for thousands of years. In 1770, the land along the Cooks River was explored by officers from HMS Bark Endeavour.  Horse racing began informally here in 1871 and is now home to the Canterbury Race Club.

Ozspots Noosa - Chocolate spotted female

September 11 - nearly 7 weeks old

The kittens are climbing everything that stands still (and some things that don't!!).  They also love to stretch up onto all four tippy-toes, fluff up their tails, hold their tail straight up like a fir tree, and leap about like feline ballet dancers - pretending to be very tough and fierce, pouncing on each other, then running off at high speed.  They come running when 'Dinner!' is called and tuck into their solid meats with gusto.  They have also started on chicken necks cut up into small chunks.  They have been wormed for their first time.  They are just gorgeous little bundles of personality!!

Ozspots Kimberley - "I can get up there too!!"

Ozspots Kimberley - "Heck - how do I get down again!~!??"

Ozspots Devonport - "Ah ...... good question - how do I get down?"

Ozspots Canterbury - "Watch me guys - you jump - just like this !!!     Yeeeegghhhh"

Ozspots Kimberley - "Hey!! Here's that broom we've been chasing - I think it's dead!"

Ozspots Canterbury -"Hi ya, Cassie - where you off to!?"

Delilah - "OK kittens - time for your nap."  Ozspots Devonport - "I'm here, Mummy"

Ozspots Kimberley & Noosa - tired out from all that climbing ........ shhhhh!

Ozspots Devonport & Canterbury - fast asleep .... no noise please!

Ozspots Devonport - it's so easy taking photos when they're asleep!!
