Things
are
going well .. Lottie is an absolute delight. There is not one day
that
Mike and I both don't say "oh.. she is just so pretty!" to each other.
She really
is the
sweetest natured most loving cat, she just really loves to be with us.
I have
her on the Litter Kwitter, on the amber stage .. which I'm
assuming she
will be on for quite some time because she is still only quite small,
but it has been easy for her to use so far. Dayna,

Hi Nola
A photo taken on
Tuesday. He'd barely been with them 2.5 days and they had
not reached the stage where they were all sleeping together, but I
don't
think anybody looks
too stressed!
He is very funny and
inquisitive. He is particularly taken with the bubbles in a
glass of soda water! I have a cat-proof backyard and yesterday we
spent a couple of hours out there. He is not daunted by
anything. Big cockatoos flying overhead and big cats wanting to play hidey with
him. It was a lot of fun and we are all still in awe at the speed with which he can
move. He has
certainly familiarized
himself with everything in the house and knows his way around.
He gets out of his bed
during the night, comes upstairs and gets up onto my bed with the big
cats, although about a foot away from them and then he goes back downstairs in the early hours of the morning
to return to his own snuggly bed.
There is no spitting by
either him or the big cats now. They have all accepted each
other yet I am still to witness them grooming each other. They have all touched noses without
incident. I
hope all is well with you.
The moment didn't last
for long because he started playing with Loki's tail! The good
thing is that the Big Cats are not averse to allowing him into their bed.

Hi Nola
I thought you may like to see
what Apache (previously Montagu) looks like at 5.5 months of age.

Hi Nola Happy 1st Birthday. I hope
all is well with you. Regards

Cootamundra - 'Precious'
February, 2008
Hi Nola
I am still trying to get
non blurry “action” photos of the girls for you but I guess “sleepy”
ones are better than none!
These were taken some
time ago and give you an idea of their temperament. Both are still
gorgeous and asleep on top of a suitcase (on TOP of the built-in
cupboard) as I type. Precious has been extra smoochy today especially
after being “released” from the plastic bag she pinched from the pantry
this morning.
Thanks again for two
gorgeous girls.
regards,
Bea

Burnie - 'Diesel'
August, 2008
Nola, Diesel is FANTASTIC! He's very playful and
outgoing, and was playing with us for the last two hours, until I put him to bed
about half an hour ago (see attached photo). We couldn't be more happy with him!
He was hiding under the bed when we first brought him into my room, but we got
him out straight away, and after a few times he stopped doing it. He's had a wee
in his litter box, and we're keeping him in my room, plus a small bathroom where
his litter box is.

Arriving at his new home

Hi Nola,
I've attached some photos of Diesel that I took a few days ago.
He's continuing to grow really fast (he's doubled in size since we picked him
up 4 weeks ago), and he's getting a bigger appetite. He loves running up and
down the stairs and the hallway and playing with his toy mice and with
shoelaces! He also likes sleeping beside the fire at night, and in the sun on
his bed in the daytime. He's due for his next round of vaccinations in 2 days'
time, and we've booked him into a vet just around the corner from us, who used
to be a brain surgeon - he should be good.
All your hard work has paid off - he's a beautiful, friendly kitten - thank
you. Bill

Hi Nola,
It's like Diesel has always been here! Last week, (30th August), he went to
the vet for his second vaccinations, and he didn't mind them. He didn't like
the flea tablet, though. He was a bit quiet for the rest of the day, and slept
a lot, but was fine the next morning. The vet hadn't seen an Ocicat before, or
even heard of them, and commented on how lovely Diesel was, and how good he
looked. I referred him to your website!
Yesterday, we took Diesel outside for the first time - he loved it! We blocked
off the side entrances and made sure there was no way he could escape, but he
didn't even try to run away (I think he likes us). He loved playing with a
flower that we picked for him, and a small stick from one of the trees. We got
some good photos of him (attached). The vet also said that he wouldn't
recommend letting Diesel outside unsupervised, because of his worth, and high
"stealablity".
All in all, Diesel is going very well, and we're all extremely happy with
him. He's eating more and more, and now weighs about 2.2kg. He's very
sociable, and doesn't mind visitors - he also likes watching TV!
Thanks, Bill
