Ozspots Jamu - May,
2007
Hi
Nola,
Well
Jamu and
Zuri are really settling in now .... they rule the
roost! Zuri
is
more reserved, he wants his cuddles morning and evening, then goes off
to sleep in his
bed .... he just wants to know we're near by. He isn't as
brave as his little
brother but does watch out for him with a "oh no, what trouble is he going
to get into now"
look. They are both so lovely and affectionate.
Don
came home on
Saturday and they ran straight up to him .... they weren't nervous at
all and he loved
that. They are now firm friends. The other cats
are still keeping their
distance which is fine with Zuri but Jamu wants to play with
them.
He
also loves our daughter Keira, and plays with her - at first I thought
he was running
away from her but I think he likes playing as he always comes back for
more
when she gets bored. She is still very gentle with him, and
we are always
watching her to make sure there is not pulling of tails or being
heavy-handed. Right now she is still in that stage of
complete awe as she is
able to stroke him and he stays there and purrs .. she giggles though
when
he meows as it is so funny.
They are
eating, drinking and pooping just fine. All seems to be
well. Hope all is well with you and your
other brood..... Further
updates to follow
.. Nicola

Ozspots Kainalui - 'Kai' - August,
2007
Hi
Nola,
I
hope everything is going well
with you. Kainalu is doing great! He's such a wonderful and funny guy,
always wants to be where you are. He cries a
little when you move from
room to room and he doesn't know where you went but then comes running
to look for you. He's
gotten into his fair share of mischief as all
little boys do, but cute and affection always wins over a hundred
times. He's gotten so big in the short time we've had
him when we took
him back to the vet's for his second vaccinations last week he gained
1.5 pounds in two weeks. He's going to be one big cat. How's
his
brother doing? I hope someone will take him home soon. Hope everything
is going great with you. Thanks
again for letting me have one of your
beautiful babies. Aloha,
Claire

Ozspots Quambatook - 'Ollie' -
October, 2007
I'm calling him
Ollie though he doesn't recognise that as yet. He's doing
fine - I was having a problem to get him to touch the Royal Canin but
have found if I add some warm water he will eat it - - however if
there are left overs they have to be refreshed before he will eat some
more.
He enjoys fresh
sea food and appears to love fresh squid. Unfortunately he's
not big on the fresh salmon which is what I have myself most
nights. Made up a big batch of the chicken stock but wasn't overly keen on that, and he wont eat raw beef mince.
He is very
affectionate when not in extreme play mode - I have to lock him in the
bedroom for intervals during the day or he will not settle down and
rest - he's also very
vociferous
- if I'm out the back patio he'll
sit at the door and cry until I come back in - even though he can see
me sitting meters away!
I am slowly introducing the
two cats bit by bit -
at this stage the older cat has hissed at him from a distance a
couple of times but
that's all!
All is well
Nola, thanks and regards, Simon
