OZSPOTS MEEKO
March 15, 2007
Hi
Nola,
Our
gorgeous boy
has already settled happily in to his new home. He is more beautiful
than we could ever have imagined in both looks and temperament. Both
the girls the 4 year old and the 4 month old adore him. We have decided
to name him Meeko (which means little one with a big heart)
Within 5
minutes
of arrival he was playing with his new toys and has spent this
afternoon playing with our littlest Burmese.
Thank you
so much
for supplying us our new family member!
I've
attached a
photo of him relaxing in his new home.

Hi Nola,
Meeko
has
well
and truly settled in to our family. He is very popular in particular
with our Lilac Burmese Jasmine and Sarah our 4 year old. He has taken a
keen interest in everything we do (and everything we eat!) and is now
well and truly head of the household.
We've
attached a
picture of him with Jasmine and Sarah and one of the two cats in their
favourite hiding spot.

Hi
Nola,
A quick
update on
Meeko. He has grown so much and has become the much loved companion of
our other 2 cats. I've attached a few photos of Meeko and his friends.
Thanks once again for our lovely boy!

OZSPOTS ICE DANCER
October 6, 2006
Hi
Nola,
Just
a note and picture about Ice. Ice is just delightful.
Sam and Ice have a play session on the bed with us each morning before
breakfast. Ice shares her sleeping time, cuddled up with either
Sam or Us. I am not sure if Ice is getting dog like or Sam
is getting Cat like, or
if we are all just great friends and playmates. I think the latter best
describes the morning scene.
Cheers,
Christine

OZSPOTS TASMAN
April, 2007

Hi Nola,
Here are some pictures of Tasman now he is settling in.
He has
certainly
perked up, a very lively kitten now that he has recovered from his very
long day traveling. Nikita is having a hard time of it, at 2
metres she hisses and growls, and when he gets within one metre she is
off outside at lightning speed.
We
took
Tasman to the vet today, she says he is in excellent condition and is a
very cute kitten. They confirmed that the chip could be read and
gave him a full examination.
Thank you
so much
for Tasman, he has a wonderful personality, is just gorgeous, and now
all we need is for Nikita to accept him.
We'll
let
you know how things are going and send more photos as the household
settles down!

Regards
Robert and Carol
A
well earned rest after a long
day!

Hi Nola,
Sorry it has been so long since we updated you on Tasman's progress.
He's now a fully accepted part of the family, Nikita wouldn't eat her
breakfast this morning until he came in from walkabout. They
spend a lot of time cuddled up together, playing inside and compete for
the same prime sun spots in the garden.
Tasman loves trees, and will run straight up anything when he gets
excited. We have a pole over two metres tall in the back yard,
and he races straight up it and sits on top surveying his
kingdom. He's a bundle of energy, and now we are coming into
summer he is spending a lot of time in our bush, then he comes in and
just sprawls on the floor.
He has a wonderful personality and all our visitors love him. He
does give our cleaner a bit of a hard time, as he has decided that the
vacuum cleaner is to be killed and takes every opportunity to stalk it
and attack it.
He really is just an amazing cat and we are so glad we have him.
Thank you, Robert and Carol

OZSPOTS AUSTRALIS
October 8, 2007
Well its been a very
busy school holidays!!! Afro and PJ are now officially rulers of
the house....(except for me). They are confident and are using
Ziggy our Border Collie as a bed. They are all good friends.
The boys love the
kids...they love the games and are not at all scared of the
noise....even when they have friends over.
I am so in love with
these boys....they purr and follow me everywhere....even to the toilet.
PJ has
developed into a cat burglar. While I am sleeping he removes my
earings and takes off with them....leaving them somewhere for me to
tread on them. These are my good ones with a spring in the
back....so very talented. Anyway....all is good and we look
forward to seeing you soon. Have a great Holiday!!!! Annie

OZSPOTS DAMPIER - 'Jack'
March 17, 2008
Dear Nola
Attached are a few pictures of Jack and Molly. I will send some better
ones soon. Many of the "action" shots were blurred when I looked at
them on the computer - there is obvious some skill in photographing
leaping kittens!
They are settling in well I think. The first night Molly was by my side
all the time while Jack watched us mostly from a little distance and
was always trying to hide if I approached. Overnight I let them follow
me to my bedroom and they slept at first separately on the bed. By
morning they were next to one another and Molly started to groom Jack.
Over the next day 12 hours they bonded incredibly. Molly has clearly
adopted Jack as her own kitten. She allows him to suckle at her nipple
for long periods (one of her nipples is a little elongated and red, but
she seems to enjoy it). I presume this is comfort behaviour on Jack's
part as surely nothing will be coming out of the nipple.
They are now inseparable; Molly follows Jack around everywhere and goes
running for him whenever he squeaks. She even tries to pick him up by
his scruff (and sometimes tries to carry him via the front of his
throat - I stop this if I am there). She follows him to the litter tray
and inspects his efforts. If anything she is a little too possessive
(eg. following him to the food when I put it down and distracting him
from eating by grooming him at the same time), but I've noticed that
Jack is beginning to elude her attempts at carrying him away. Soon he
will be too big to carry anyway. They play together beautifully and
chase each other around.
Jack is no longer shy of me and seems great. He loves the toys I have
for him and will play endlessly with me. He has lots of energy and has
a good appetite, especially this morning. Molly appears healthy and
energetic with no signs of soreness from her operation. However, she
doesn't appear to be eating too much at the moment, but the weekend was
so hot (and I have no air conditioning), so we were all just lying
around. I will try to find out what her favourite food is and keep an
eye on her eating. Often when she starts eating, Jack squeaks from
somewhere in the room and she stops eating and runs to him. I guess all
this will settle down.
The two of them love the tree hollow scratching post and spend most of
their time sleeping in there during the day (as you will see in the
photos). Jack loves climbing it and launching himself off the top onto
a toy mouse on the floor.
I'll keep in touch re their progress. If you have any advice re Molly's
appetite, please let me know.
Best wishes, Christine
