'DEMETRIUS'April 5, 2007 Hi Nola, (just arrived home from his flight to Adelaide) He's settling in fine. Crying every now and then (if I dare look away from him) but playing lots. He was trying to catch the computer curser, then he lay on my lap and went to sleep. He's just darling, purrs a lot. I can't thank you enough for letting adopt one of your beauties. I'll keep in touch with more photos and stories. Amanda   April 6, 2007 Hi Nola, He has settled in extremely well, playing and running around like he owns the place. He spent the night purring in my ear. Definitely not shy, that's for sure. Amanda  April 10, 2007 Hi Nola, Demetrius had his vet appointment today, he's in perfect health (of course). They loved him at the vets, they'd never seen an Ocicat before and he charmed them all purring up a storm. He had no problems being handled by the vet or nurse so hopefully he'll do well at shows. He's doing well, eating like a horse and running around like crazy playing. Amanda. 
 This scratchy-thingy is better than the one at Granny Nola's place !!!!! Am I a pretty boy - or am I a pretty boy?????  Mmmm .... six letters, starts with 'O' and ends with "T" 'Special breed of cat' .... mm    Ahhh - that's enough for one day for this little kitten .......... turn the lights out when you leave, please ....... May 14, 2007 Hi Nola, Demetri had his first show today, he was very well behaved. Still doesn't like car rides so lucky it was only 5 minutes away, once there he settled down nicely. He won best of breed for Bengal/Ocicat and 6th best kitten. It was a nice 1 ring show to start out with, he had a snooze after the judging, which gave him energy to grumble all the way home again. "This showing stuff is actually hard work - think I'll just have a snooze until Mummy takes me home." June 7, 2007 Hi Nola, We had a lovely time at the show today - our first with FASA. Many, many people gabe compliments and congratulations to you for breeding such a stunning boy. three people in particular were shocked that you let such a stunner go as a desexed pet and not a breeder - they think you are a wonderful breeder to have such great quality cats - they were people who'd been showing a long time and can remember when there were Oci's in the ringer over here - apparently they don't compare. Of course, Demetri just ate up all the attention, purring away with a look on his face that clearly said he knows how handsome he is - he is right of course! the whole day as people walked by his cage he'd stick his paw out, which made them stop and talk to him. He knows how to work a crown! The judges were from Vic, Qld and SA. Judges' comments - Gorgeous!! Beautiful spotting!! Nice Tail!! Strong Boning! Nice texture!! Nice muzzle!! Promising eye colour!! Good ear placement!!l And - Good spine lines; excellent spotting; good chin; good ears; gorgeous eye shape; terrific condition!! And more - lovely spotting; good boning; good eyes; very muscular; stunning eye colour!! Can't thank you enough for my handsome boy, Amanda. The show results - Ring 1 - Best of Breed Devon/Cornish/Ocicat. 5th Best kitten in group Ring 2 - 2nd Best of Breed. 5th Best kitten in group Ring 3 - Best of Breed. 5th Best kitten in group He's 5 months old!! "I am just sooooo beautiful - agree?? - OK, but I'm outta here now - had enough of these cameras!!!"  "I am so looking forward to be new beautiful tawny sister - Ozspots Satin Mousse - of course, we'll just call her 'Anna' at home (short for Anastasia) - Yahoo!!?? - MY name is Ozspots Silk Truffle" August, 2007 What do you think of this comment - "He is what should be being bred in Ocicats" (shown at a cat show as a Group 3 neutered kitten in South Australia)  Also - "proper pattern, good spotting, solid feel, beautiful eye colour, good eye shape, nice square head". He was also placed 5th Best in Group 3 kittens out of 22 kittens in total. Excellent results! I'm so pleased with my special boy, thanks for breeding him :-) Amanda September 22, 2007 Demetri and Ana have decided they are friends - played ALL night and shared breakfast. 
 OZSPOTS INARAJanuary, 2006 This is a photo of Inara asleep on top of Kaylee. Inara loves sleeping on top of the modem on Ben's desk as it is nice and warm. I also think she likes using Kaylee as her pillow.  Inara is just the most beautiful kitten. She is even more beautiful and loving than I imagined. She is very cute when she sees something new, she has a special little meow that says "I haven't seen this before" and then she turns in a circle :)  She is extremely loving with us and Kaylee and they have a great time together tearing around the house at full speed. Tara April 21, 2006 Inara is almost 8 months old now. She is getting more beautiful everyday :) In the past she would come up to us both and get cuddles and would then go and lie down somewhere else (normally on the modem - she loves the warmth of it). The last week or two though she has finally decided that the better place to lie is on our laps which is just what we wanted. We are both so happy that we decided to get an Ocicat. They really are the most beautiful, affectionate and intelligent cats! Tara    |
