About Oz Catz

We have been involved with breeding cats at Oz Catz for the past 10 years - firstly breeding Burmese, then for the past 8 years breeding the beautiful Ocicats.

During this time we have welcomed our own kittens back to us for exclusive boarding - but now we have opened our boarding facilities to other cats wishing for a holiday away from home. 

About your cat's stay with us .....

  Accommodation :

We provide very large and spacious rooms for our guest cats with large windows for sun-baking and wonderful views. The boarding cattery has a bright and happy atmosphere, filled with natural light and fresh country air.

Every room is pleasantly furnished with comfy beds, a scratching post, a large litter tray which is cleaned at least twice each day. Each room provides a friendly and safe environment for your cat's stay with us.

All our rooms are very large - none is less than 2.5 metres long and 2.5 metres wide and 2 metres high. There's plenty of room for up to 3 - 4 of your family cats to share.

All rooms are fully enclosed giving your cat lots of room to safely stretch, relax and explore.

Our cattery is located in country Victoria - away from the smog and noise of the city - fresh air and quiet restful accommodation for your cat.

  Food :

We accommodate fussy eaters with a wide variety of premium and fresh foods.

All our boarding cats are fed both morning and night - Royal Canin dry food in the morning and a combination of fresh beef and Whiskas tinned cat food in the evening. Of course, we can also feed your cat a special diet - in which case, you may need to bring their special diet food with you on admission.

All cats are supplied with clear fresh rain-water.

 Cleanliness :

Our boarding cattery is kept hygienically clean with veterinary style F10 cleaners and disinfectants.

We provide all our guests with large litter trays that are changed at least twice daily.

Freshly washed water, food bowls and plates are provided for each meal. Blankets and bedding are changed regularly.

 Play and exercise :

Your cats are not left alone in their room all day - whilst we are cleaning, your cat may exercise on the adjoining secure sun-deck.

They can also 'talk' with and see other boarding cats at all times.

 Medication :

We administer medication including any injections your cat may require as per your instructions whilst your cat is in our care.

Boarding Requirements ......

 Medical History :

It is important that you inform us of any health issues your cat may have had, or is likely to have, in case your cat is taken ill during his/her stay.

If your cat has had cat flu, he/she may require accommodation in isolation at the discretion of the cattery manager.

Peace of mind :

If your cat falls ill whilst you are away, you may rest assured that he/she will receive the best of care throughout their stay with visits to the vet as required.

 Current Vaccinations :

To ensure the protection of all cats boarding at Oz Catz, all cat guests must be fully vaccinated. We must sight proof of vaccination either before or at the time of your arrival.

All annual vaccinations must be completed at least 7 days prior to the start of the boarding

All cats must have completed the F3 vaccination course - to cover Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis.

 Flea Treatment :

For the comfort and protection of other cats at Oz Catz, it is very important that your cat is treated with a flea prevention just prior to arrival at Oz Catz and that your cat is clean and well groomed.

If you forget to treat your cat, we are happy to apply treatment on check-in and during the stay. We use and sell Advantage for Cats and/or Revolution.

 Health Questionnaire :

Upon arrival at Oz Catz we will complete a health questionnaire about your cat and make a note of anything we need to particularly keep in mind.

 Things to bring on check in :

 Your cat/s - of course - in secure carry boxes to minimize stress during transport

 Current vaccination certificate/s

 Medications (if any)

 Favourite toys, blankets, bowls or possessions from home

 Special dietary requirements

 What to tell us on check in :

 Any particular medical history

 Medication and medication instructions

 Contact details - A contact phone number while you are away

 Reconfirm check out date and time or delivery address if applicable

Cat Ages

 Your cat should not be younger than five months to board and we prefer cats no older than 15 years of age.

However, if your cat is 11 years or older, we make sure we keep a closer eye on our senior guests.

All cats should be de-sexed. 

Check out times are before 11am Monday to Saturday.

Late check out at 2pm daily is available on request.

This system ensures that feline friend/s arrival and departure is smooth and easy.

Please note that we are closed on Sunday but our cattery is staffed 7 days each week. 

Collection and Delivery Service

 We can provide convenience to our clients by collecting your cat/s and delivering them back home again.

Payment can be made on collection of your cat - cash only or by direct deposit 7 days prior to collection by arrangement.

For longer periods of stay (longer than 2 weeks) a deposit is required, with the balance payable in full on collection.
